    My Story

Joyful Journey With Jen Denson & Family

    50+ and Fabulous....but not always

Hi:) My name is Jen Denson, Mom of Kyla, two fur pups, Tuck & Onyx, kitty Ravenpaw and Wife to Troy.  I juggle homeschooling my child, working full time to run a business (www.mountthis.net) with my husband, and taking care of a home and our fur babies.  For most of my life my focus was on taking care of everyone else and trying to keep them happy.  I was continuously in a vicious cycle of detoxing, retoxing my body and my habit of negative self talk and self image had really gotten out of hand.  In trying to take care of everyone else and make them happy, I forgot about myself.  I had created a broken record of life detoxing my body and mind just long enough to get a hint of self love, health and happiness….then back off the band wagon I’d go.

Over 30 years of not loving myself and misunderstanding what self love meant. I thought it was like bragging or being self centered.  On my 49th birthday, August 2022, I wanted to check myself into a rehab or meditation center to get a break from life and find out what was wrong with me.  I had always been so happy making everyone else happy, or so I thought. I was so sad inside and the alcohol and other substances were no longer providing me with the same results. I had loss my sense of self and joy. One day I looked myself deep in the eyes and committed to joyfully practice self care and self love.  Switching my focus from what was wrong and not working to what was and could be.  Focusing on all of the good habits I had learned over the years, like reading, juicing, dehydrating, yoga, pilates but didn’t make time for any more.  Discovering new ones, like meditation and podcasts, with people sharing stories of their joyful journeys.

I have years of holistic approaches to weight loss, addiction, infertility, thyroid, along with recipes and hacks that I am so excited to share with you.  Committing to joyfully practice self care and self love is not selfish, it’s your soul’s purpose.  I feel so blessed to be able to share my journey with you and hope that you find something joyful to help you on yours and then share it with others. Life is not about being perfect, it's about striving to be better and help others do the same.

Wishing you a life full of joy!

    xoxo Jen
